Lymphatic drainage, also known as lymphatic massage, manual lymph drainage or lymph drainage therapy is a gentle manual technique that can aid to increase fluid movement in the body. This technique can aid in general healing, reduce edemas and improve health. Therapists trained in this technique can feel the rhythm, direction and flow of the lymphatic fluid.  The ability to assess how the fluid is moving can help treat areas more efficiently. This technique can be used to redirect or enhance the flow of lymph to aid in the uptake of the fluid.
